What we collect through this website, and what we do with it.
Who we are

What we collect
When you send an enquiry or a tour request through this website, we receive:
- your name and email address;
- your phone number, if you give one;
- the dates, number of guests and message you write;
- a scrambled (hashed) form of your internet address, which we use only to spot and limit automated abuse. We cannot turn it back into your address.
We do not ask for payment details on this website. This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, to arrange the stay or tour you ask about, and to keep the website safe from spam. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.
Who else sees it
- Cloudflare delivers this website and runs a check on the enquiry form to block automated messages. To do that it processes technical details such as your internet address.
- Our email provider carries the notification that tells us about your message.
- Google receives a request only if you choose to load the map on the contact page, or follow a link to Google Maps or Google reviews.
- WhatsApp handles anything you send us there, under its own terms.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to answer you, and for up to 24 months after that, then delete it. The e-mail copy of your message that we send ourselves is deleted from our system 30 days after it is sent. Deletion runs automatically.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to us using it. Write to info@paramata-hotel.com and we will respond. These rights follow Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022, and the same principles apply to visitors from the European Union and elsewhere.

When we add online booking we will update this page first, to explain what we collect for a booking and how long we keep it.
